Helen is Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Glasgow and has been doing research with adoptive parents for two decades. Adoptive parents are her favourite research partners because, as a group, she has found them to be so curious and motivated to help adopted children. Together, they have investigated adoptive children’s mental health, social functioning – even their cortisol levels. Often it has been great fun and it has always been fascinating!

The trial is currently open to families from Lanarkshire, Oxfordshire, Hertfordshire, Central Bedfordshire, and will soon be working in East Midlands, Doncaster, Bedford, and the Wolverhampton area. To find out more about participating in the trial, contact Verity Westgate at [email protected]
