General Election 2024 Read the full Adoption UK 2024 manifesto Read our response to party manifestos Note: Adoption policy is devolved, meaning Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales decide their own policies on adoption, overseen by a minister in the devolved Parliaments. This manifesto is targeted at England, although the issues raised as priorities in the document will affect adoptees and their families across all four nations of the UK and it is important that all elected representatives sitting in Westminster are encouraged to champion the needs of adoptees and their families. Our call to action for the adoption community: Throughout the General Election campaign, prospective parliamentary candidates will be out campaigning in the local constituencies they wish to represent – including yours! They may knock on your door, or you may be see them out and about. This is an ideal time to raise the issues that matter to you whether you are an adoptee, an adopter or a family member. Please consider asking your parliamentary candidates if they will commit to one or more of the pledges in our General Election manifesto.
