Adoption UK's chief executive, Dr Sue Armstrong Brown, appeared on the BBC's The One Show to discuss adopting children with disabilities. The feature began by sharing the story of single adopter to four children, Ben Carpenter.

Ben is an Adoption UK volunteer and all four of his children have additional needs. He discussed the amazing difference adopters can make to the lives of children who can no longer live with their birth families.

Sue was joined on the sofa by Ben and his eldest, Jack. She encouraged those who were interested to seriously consider adoption. She also took the opportunity to raise awareness of the continuing need for more comprehensive support plans for adoptive parents.
