WHO YOU ARE

You are highly capable and ambitious, with plenty of fundraising experience, ideally in the areas of community fundraising, organized events, high net worth individual and corporate fundraising.

You will be an enthusiastic, engaging, people person with great communication and writing skills and you will be creative in your approach to attracting and retaining fundraisers and donors.

Equally at home working as part of a dispersed team and engaging with like-minded staff and volunteers across the UK or individually being responsible for driving key fundraising activities.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Fundraising Partnerships Manager will take ownership of a variety of projects and play a vital role in growing income so that an even greater impact can be made to adopted young people and their families. The role will be responsible for all community fundraising initiatives, including appeals, fundraising campaigns, and external challenge events. In addition, the role will work closely with the Head of Partnerships and Senior Team to help secure and manage all key fundraising relationships with major donors and corporate supporters.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the membership team to drive membership engagement, increasing our general, community and events fundraising activities.
  • Develop additional fundraising options, including legacies, virtual giving, payroll giving, retail donations – horizon scan and propose new fundraising opportunities; creating compelling marketing and promotional materials.
  • Widen our supporter base, growing our non-member individual giving and fundraising activities.
  • Work with all Adoption UK teams to support local fundraising activities in each of the four nations.
  • Develop new ideas for fundraising campaigns and programmes that support income growth and supporter experience. Manage agreed fundraising campaigns, working with internal stakeholders to deliver compelling and successful appeals and programmes.
  • Manage existing external challenge events and develop new fundraising opportunities that will appeal to both existing and new supporters.
  • Work with the communications team to create compelling copy to promote events, appeals, fundraising ‘products’ and help recruit supporters and donors.
  • Initiate and develop strong relationships with a wide range of major donors, including high net worth individuals and corporates to deliver income growth. Engage with key internal leaders to agree senior deployment for key donor engagements.
  • Support the Head of Partnerships to identify and manage corporate grants and contracts and ‘in-kind’ contributions, including professional support, volunteering and pro-bono work.
  • Analyse and report on the success of campaigns and programmes.
  • Manage our fundraising resources and materials, working with administrative staff to deploy as required.
