Douglas and his daughters Sophie and Emme took on the 4.5 mile Wee Wander, and received a generous £200 boost from Douglass employer The Artisanal Spirits Company. Rose, an Adoption UK Scotland volunteer, walked 13 miles on the Big Stroll with her husband Vinnie, while the Cats and Cuddles team of Alice and daughter Taylor also undertook the Wee Wander after Taylor suggested taking part. Thanks too to the Hunter Foundation, who topped up all monies raised by 50%. We’ll use the donations to fund our community events and activities over the coming year. Goytre Fawr Primary School, Monmouthshire Pupils at Goytre Fawr Primary School in Monmouthshire regularly raise funds for causes that are important to them and the school. Led by Mr Gough, the school is a Professional Member of Adoption UK and the staff have received training to become a 'trauma-informed' school. We'd like to say a huge thank you to Goytre Fawr for raising an amazing £200 for Adoption UK during their recent non-uniform day on 24th June! We will use the money raised to help other children and families who may find school challenging. Zipline Madness Vikki and Ceri are two adoptive parents who were grateful for the advice, support and sense of community which Adoption UK provides to adoptive parents. They decided to face their fears and take on the fastest seated zipline in the world. They raised an amazing £1,745 with gift aid via their JustGiving Fundraising page! The money raised will be used to further support the adoption community. Long Distance Motorcycle David Smith clocked up an incredible 900 miles in one day riding his motorcycle from Lands End to John O'Groats in under 24 hours. David’s generous employer matched his fundraising total bringing his total raised to an amazing £3,985.00 with gift aid! The money raised will help children and families just like David’s. 100km cycle challenge in 100 days Roo and Leah’s parents met each other through the Adoption UK Instagram community and connected through an Adoption UK Sunday Social post. Leah (3 years old) and Roo (2 years old) both love biking and going to the park. They wanted to give something back to further support adopters so decided to saddle up and cycle 100k in 100 days. They raised an amazing £1,010.25 including gift aid via their JustGiving Page. We couldn’t be more grateful to Roo and Leah and are proud of their amazing achievement.
