AdoptionUK Fundrasing Tips

Zipline Madness!

Vikki and Ceri are two adoptive parents who were grateful for the advice, support and sense of community which Adoption UK provides to adoptive parents. They decided to face their fears and take on the fastest seated zipline in the world. They raised an amazing £1,745 with gift aid via their JustGiving Fundraising page! The money raised will be used to further support the adoption community.

Long Distance Motorcycle
David Smith clocked up an incredible 900 miles in one day riding his motorcycle from Lands End to John O'Groats in under 24 hours. This gruelling, rain-soaked journey would have broken most mortals but David kept going and raised an amazing £1,980.00 with gift aid on his Just Giving page. David’s generous employer matched his fundraising total bringing his total raised to an amazing £3,985.00 with gift aid! The money raised will help children and families just like David’s.
100km Cycle Challenge in 100 days
Roo and Leah’s parents met each other through the Adoption UK Instagram community and connected through an Adoption UK Sunday Social post. Thanks to Adoption UK a new friendship was forged based on shared experience and support from someone who understood the process. After placement, the two families met up and the friendship grew. Leah (3 years old) and Roo (2 years old) both love biking and going to the park. They wanted to give something back to further support adopters so decided to saddle up and cycle 100k in 100 days. They raised an amazing £1,010.25 including gift aid via their JustGiving Page. We couldn’t be more grateful to Roo and Leah and are proud of their amazing achievement.
Easter Egg Hunt & Teddy Bear Hunt
Trevor & Lyndsey ran two local events in 2021 which involved lots of local children and families taking part. They even secured a visit from the town’s Mayor and his very own Panda! They raised an amazing £875.00!

There are many other wild and wonderful ways our supporters have raised money in the past including:

  • 5K Challenge – Run, walk, cycle or swim 5k!
  • Livestream 24 hour gaming
  • Virtual Cat Show
  • Singo (singing bingo night!)
  • Walking 10,000 steps a day
  • Swim Serpentine
  • Thames 50km walk
  • Puzzle Coffee Morning
  • Twitch Quiz
  • Teddy Bear Hunt
  • Treasure Hunt
  • Raffles
  • Cake Sales

So could you be our next Fundraising Hero and add to the list of challenges our supporters have done.
