Who we are

Adoption UK is the leading charity for all those whose lives involve adoption, including adopted people, adopters and the professionals who support them. We connect people, provide support and training and campaign for improvements to adoption policy and practice. We also run the FASD Hub and the Kinship Care Advice Service for Scotland. We work in all four nations of the UK.

Our impact report 2021

Our short video provides a snapshot of some of the things we’ve done over the past year.

We’ve had the privilege of supporting thousands of people, and we want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped – you have helped change the lives of a lot of vulnerable children.

We’re certainly not standing still and there’s lots more we want to do – we’ll be giving you more regular updates on the difference we’re making, and the challenges we’re working to address.

Our strategy

Our strategy puts the emphasis firmly on enabling people whose lives involve adoption to access the connections, support and influence they need and deserve.

Why join us?

However adoption affects your life, we are here to support you, connect you with others and campaign for what matters most to you and your family. We are independent, non-judgemental and all our services are confidential. Your membership also makes Adoption UK a more powerful advocate – the more members we have, the bigger and louder our ‘voice’ will be when it comes to raising awareness and securing support for all those whose lives involve adoption.
