Tamryn Stevens' research found that becoming a parent often prompted adoptees to re-examine their own adoption experiences, bringing both healing and new challenges around identity, family relationships, and parenting. While parenthood fostered love, belonging and personal growth, the study highlights the lasting impact of adoption across generations and the need for lifelong support, openness and understanding for adoptees. After months of campaigning by families, Adoption UK and others across the sector, Lords vote in support of an amendment to the Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill, which if passed by MPs in the Commons, would force the government to review the level of ASGSF funding, increasing pressure on government to address gaps in provision caused partly by the cuts made to the funding last April.
