Seeking a brighter future for our children - Diagnostic challenges and implications for support
Edinburgh 11th May 2018

A packed auditorium of parents and professionals from all over the UK gathered to hear the leading professionals in the field of FASD speak about the recognition of FASD as a medical condition and its physical and behavioural implications, the path to gaining a diagnosis, models of support and first hand testimony of  living with FASD as an adult. A wide selection of workshops provided the opportunity for discussion with the main speakers and others bring their perspectives of living and working in the area of FASD. The team from Adoption UK in Scotland were supported by their dedicated volunteers together with Adoption UK staff from Head Office and Wales. Funding from Scottish Government allowed the event to be filmed enabling a range of resources to be developed in the future. In the meantime, presentations from the main speakers and workshops are available below. New resources will be posted as they become available.
