Tamryn Stevens' research found that becoming a parent often prompted adoptees to re-examine their own adoption experiences, bringing both healing and new challenges around identity, family relationships, and parenting. While parenthood fostered love, belonging and personal growth, the study highlights the lasting impact of adoption across generations and the need for lifelong support, openness and understanding for adoptees.
