Allonby Beach

There is a mostly sandy beach and fair sized play park, so assuming the weather is good then we will split our time between the beach and play park.

We will buy all people who attend an ice cream or ice lolly from the ice cream parlour funded by the National Lottery.

There are plenty of benches looking out to sea on which to eat a packed lunch/snacks & ice cream.  

I think its possible to buy lunch here at Allonby tea room or Jack's Surf Bar, but we've always brought a packed lunch. 

Car Parking: Free, there are several different car parks along the Allonby beach, so if the one by Twentyman's is full then you can park in one a little further down and walk up.  

I would recommend bringing swimwear ( if you wish to swim or paddle in the sea), buckets and spades, towels and a picnic blanket or similar to sit on the beach or alternatively deck chairs.  

Depending on the weather please bring warm clothes, waterproofs, suitable footwear (e.g. wellies/ beach shoes) etc or if it is hot, sunscreen and a sun hat etc will be required.  

There are toilets by the play park.
