Political representatives have a responsibility to listen to you - it's their job.

Every part of the UK has a political representative. Whether you voted for them or not, they have to represent you and respond to your communications. That’s their job.

Who your political rep is depends on where you live. It’s easy to find out who they are – just go to the Write To Them website and input your postcode.

Politicians like to focus on things that people living in their area care about.

So tell them what you care about! Whether that’s getting help for your child in school, improving the diagnosis of FASD or getting better post adoption support…

You might feel one email won’t make a difference. But think about it this way: every time someone contacts their rep about adoption, it rings a bell. It doesn’t take many bells to wake politicians up to something they should pay attention to. And remember: paying attention to you is their job.

We’d love to get in touch from time to time, to invite you to contact your rep about specific issues. Sign up to stay involved
