As we approach the end of lockdown restrictions…

VolunteerAfter an extraordinary time when FASD Hub Scotland have been able to provide all of its services on line, we are now excited to be moving to a time when we can establish a network of volunteers across Scotland to help us connect with families through face-to-face meet ups, events and activities.

Although we are still a month or two away from being able to do this, we are excited to be establishing our FASD Hub Volunteer Community Network in preparation for the Covid restrictions easing.

We are looking for people who are able to give time to establish a Community Network in their local area.  Time commitment will typically include a monthly meeting and a quarterly events/trips. There is flexibility to how this could be achieved. Examples could include solely organising a group, doing it jointly with others or online delivery only.

Within this role you can expect to receive training, ongoing support as well as accessible and practical resources and help.

Sometimes no-one gets it quite like those who have also ‘walked the walk’ and there is a strength in this shared experience.

If you would like more information please get in touch to have a chat, we’d love to welcome you to the team.

How to get in touch:

  • Email – [email protected]
  • Phone – FASD Hub helpline – 0300 666 0006, Tuesday-Friday, 10am to 2.30pm.  You can always leave a message and we will get back to you.
  • Get in touch by writing – FASD Hub Community Volunteer Network, FASD Hub Scotland/Adoption UK Scotland, Room 4, 14 Links Place, Edinburgh, EH6 7EZ

Not enough time for a Community Network role but still want to be involved? There may still be a role for you. Some of our amazing volunteers offer occasional Event support, work with the FASD Hub or assist in our offices in Edinburgh. These are also dependant on restrictions easing but for an informal discussion about volunteering, please contact Simon at [email protected]
