The Challenge

The world’s greatest festival of cycling returns on Sunday 29 May 2022, with a new format and exciting new route! RideLondon-Essex 100 is a unique opportunity to ride 100 miles on traffic-free roads through the heart of London and neighbouring Essex. It will start and finish in the center of the capital, with 60 miles of rolling roads through some of Essex’s most beautiful countryside and villages in between. You will set off from Victoria Embankment and end at Tower Bridge. For the full route please click here or see the handy map below.

Getting Ready

This event isn’t just for the world’s best cyclists. The amateur cyclists amongst us are welcome to participate and Ride London has prepared a training plan to help people get ready for the big event. If you are looking for tips then please visit the Ride London training plan.

Cheer on Our Team!

As you may know, Ride London, the UK’s biggest festival of cycling, takes place on Sunday 29th May. Thousands of cyclists will be participating in the iconic 100-mile challenge ride and Adoption UK is fortunate to have a team of cyclists taking on the challenge and raising money to support our work. If you live in the London/Essex region you may be close enough to see the event live at one of the closed road viewpoints and cheer on our team. The Riders

David, John Paul, & Mike, make up a team of 4. They are a group of social cycling enthusiasts from Suffolk who enjoy a challenge and have links to the adoption story. Keen to raise funds for important causes, and enjoy the benefits of cycling (especially with coffee and cake)!
