Adoption UK in Scotland operates from our office base in Edinburgh, providing information, support and advice to those parenting children who are no longer able to live with their birth families, across Scotland. Our services are provided through our helpline, online support systems, training workshops and support groups.

We work closely with voluntary adoption agencies and local authorities across Scotland. If you are based in Scotland and are interested in adopting a child please contact us for information and advice about the routes to adoption in your area.

Young People's Project

Adoption is complex. It's rarely straightforward, and has an enormous impact on everyone who is involved with it. We would like to know two things – what does adoption mean to them, and how could their experiences have been improved?

This project is a chance for us to encourage adopted young people to share their story, as a part of helping us to improve experiences for other young people coming through the same system.

Adoption UK Scotland is working in collaboration with Scottish Adoption, St Andrew’s Children’s Society and CELCIS (Centre of Excellence for Looked After Children In Scotland) to represent the voice of adopted young people.
