In 2016 Welsh Government announced that it would provide funding for a partnership between the two organisations so that our work in Wales can continue and grow. The grant allows us to establish the foundation for a pan Wales Post Adoption Service offer. This will involve developing services suitable for commissioning. Back to top A Peer Support Network for adoptive parents and prospective adopters. We are extending our network of peer support groups for adopters and we are developing new methods of delivery so that all families can access peer support if they wish. Support groups currently meet in the following areas: Cardiff (3 groups in total including one for single adopters, one for adoptive dads, one in the evening and one for adopters with young children in the morning) Vale of Glamorgan (evening) Mid Wales / Llandrindod Wells (evening) Blackwood (Caerphilly) (morning) North Wales – A new group is being established jointly with St.David’s Children’s society. Western Bay – new groups are being set up in the Swansea and Bridgend area. The network of support groups is constantly growing.
