Hours: Part-time 4 hours per week
Salary: £10 per hour
Location: Home working, supporting families across Yorkshire and Humber
Duration: Fixed term for 3 months

We are looking for someone who ideally has personal experience of adoption but at least sound knowledge of current adoption issues, or a strong interest in developing such knowledge, to provide a peer support service to families across One Adoption North and Humber and One Adoption West Yorkshire. Some of the main responsibilities of the role are:

  • Delivering a high-quality adoption consultancy programme to assist adopters in managing transitions
  • Support individual families in the OANH or OAWY area with peer to peer goal-based intervention service over 3 months.
  • To work with families to achieve agreed goal-based outcomes
  • To work to a plan for transition
  • To signpost families to relevant support
  • To provide 6 online support sessions of 50 minutes via zoom covering the programme topics agreed within timescale.
  • To follow a programme of support and monitor progress regularly.
  • To empower families to work closely with schools, settings and relevant professionals encouraging them to build and strengthen relationships.
  • To complete admin and paperwork relevant to the family including evaluation paperwork.
