The survey “Listen up - Speak Out” was aimed at finding out the experiences of adopters and prospective adopters for the first time in N. Ireland.

The information covers the whole adoption journey:

• Initial contact with an agency
• Recruitment
• Assessment
• Panel approval
• Placement
• Support

We hope the survey's findings will help us achieve a better understanding of how adopters view the adoption process and the challenges they face.

This understanding, based on solid evidence, will help all statutory and independent organisations in the adoption arena to provide a service that allows adopters to parent children from the care system in a safe, secure, and supported environment.
