Help improve the chances for sibling groups waiting for adoption

Published: 29.03.17

Adoptive and prospective adoptive parents who have adopted a sibling group, or hope to adopt a sibling group, are being urged to take part in a short survey which will improve the chances of brothers and sisters who have been adopted, or who are waiting to be adopted.
Help improve the chances for sibling groups waiting for adoption

Answers to the survey, which should only take 10 minutes to complete, will help to provide an understanding of what is currently being done well and what needs to be improved, to:

* Prepare adopters to parent sibling groups

* Support children in sibling groups both pre and post adoption

* Help professionals carry out robust assessments of sibling groups and match them with the right adoptive family

The survery is part of research being carried out by the national children's charity Coram, for the sibling programme run by Coram Cambridgeshire Adoption (CCA). The results from the survey will be used to inform the siblings project to create some new guidance and support tools for practitioners and adopters.

Click here to take part in the survey, which will close at 17:00 on Friday 7 April 2017.
