Adoption UK’s ambassadors to attend annual conference
Published: 03.08.17Adoption UK is delighted to announce that all three of our celebrity ambassadors will be attending our annual conference in November.
Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson, national broadcaster Nicky Campbell and West End musical star Shona White will all be contributing to the event. The theme of this year’s conference is Attachment and Trauma in the Classroom. You can find out more by visiting our annual conference page.
Our members will have an opportunity to put their questions to our ambassadors during a Q&A session at the conference. Please submit your questions (along with your full name and membership number) to firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll then select your most interesting suggestions.
You can visit our ambassadors page to find out more about Tessa, Nicky and Shona, and their experiences of adoption.
Adoption UK’s chief executive, Dr Sue Armstrong Brown expressed her delight at the announcement, saying: “Adoption UK is lucky to enjoy active support from our celebrity ambassadors, who play such an important role in highlighting the reality of modern adoption. If we are serious about producing better outcomes for adoptive families, then we need to raise awareness of the challenges they face. It takes courage for people in the public eye to speak out about adoption, and I am delighted that Tessa, Nicky and Shona are coming to our annual conference to share their experiences and meet fellow adopters and adoptees.”
If you haven’t secured your place, then make sure you don’t miss our early bird offer by booking before 31 August.
