Job title: Networking Champion

  • Adoption Counts ( Stockport, Manchester, Cheshire East, Salford, Trafford)
  • Adopt East Midlands (Leicester, Leicestershire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, Derby, Derbyshire, Lincoln and Rutland)
  • Adoption West – BANES (Bristol and NE Somerset)
  • Adopt London East (Havering, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Barking & Dagenham)
  • Together 4 Children (Staffordshire, Stoke, Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin

Responsible to: Designated Adopter Advisory Board Champion
Hours of work: A minimum of 8 per month
Duration: For a fixed period dependant on contract agreement
Location: Home based, in or near the relevant region
Salary: Voluntary role plus travel expenses

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE                             

  • To collate information from networks of adopters across (typically) a Local Authority area, within a Regional Adoption Agency
  • To develop and create networks for adopters to share their Adopter Voice
  • To provide a summary of views to the designated Adopter Advisory Board (AAB) Champion within specified time frames
  • To attend two video link meetings per year (alternating with the AAB meetings) with a purpose to discuss, monitor and develop engagement activities across the region with Networking Champions
  • To host Networking Champions at quarterly intervals to meet with adopters, connect with them and share their views
