Hours: Full-time or substantial part-time hours
Salary: £23,000 FTE
Location: Head Office Banbury
Duration: Fixed term to 31 March 2021 with potential to be permanent

Over the last year Adoption UK has grown considerably and therefore we are looking for a Human Resources Officer to support the Human Resources Manager to ensure the department provides a high quality service to the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be involved in policy development, training and development, recruitment and project work. With Level 3 CIPD or equivalent we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and work on their own initiative. The main purpose of the role is to:

  • Support the HR manager with general HR queries and advice to managers, ensuring high levels of accuracy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Support the HR manager with the delivery of coaching and development of managers.
  • Develop and maintain statistical management information
  • Ensure the HR department provides a high quality HR service to the business, meeting the organisation’s requirements under employment law and Adoption Support Regulations in ensuring and demonstrating staff and volunteers are suitable persons.
  • To provide an effective HR administration service relating to the employment lifecycle.
  • Provide effective recruitment, induction and support for volunteers across the UK, liaising with Communities Officers and others who supervise volunteer work.
