Pupil Premium Plus deducted from EHCP funding

Report content

My daughter has an EHCP and last year had Exception Needs funding. Each year the local authority has included the Pupil Premium Plus funding as part of the calculation for the funding for the school. My understanding is that Pupil Premium Plus funding is meant to be 'separate to and distinct from SEN funding', however I have been unable to find the documentation to support this. The Head Teacher and Post Adoption Worker have both tried to challenge the SEN team, but without success. So tracking down the documentation seems the only way forward.

Does anyone know how I can get the relevant document? I have contacted the DFE twice, but each time I have received a standard PPP response, that doesn't answer my question. Many thanks.

I just did enquiries via the website. If you can suggest someone to contact direct that would be great.

"The DfE has clearly said that the funding should not be used to supplement the general school budget, or to support other groups of pupils such as those with special educational needs or who are low attaining. Some children who are eligible for Pupil Premium Plus will have special educational needs or low attainment, but these are needs which should anyway be met through the usual or additional funding streams available to the school" http://www.pac-uk.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/PAC-UK-Education-Servic...
