Sunday 28th April 1pm onwards

Merseyside & Cheshire AUK Community Meet up – all welcome!

Come and join us and we will buy you an ice cream! You must  register so we know how many to expect.

Walton Hall and Gardens, Walton Lea Rd, Higher Walton, Warrington, WA4 6SN

Meet in the sunshine (hopefully) on the main grass area by the play area for picnic, fun and games. People that sign up for the event will be sent more details of where to meet to find us. Bring a picnic blanket or chairs so you can sit comfortably and a picnic lunch if you wish.  Do bring any mini games to play outdoors if you want. We are going to be there from 1pm onwards, but it’s going to be really informal and relaxed so feel free to come in any way best for you: set up your camping chairs or picnic blanket with us for the afternoon, bring food if you like, or pop over for half an hour to play a game of catch, even if it you just drop by to say hi for 10 minutes you’ll be extremely welcome.

Free entry to grounds (car park charge see below). There is a children’s play area and also a children’s zoo which is free to walk around (goats, donkeys, peacocks and more!).

There is also a café located about a 5 min stroll from the play area which sells a range of hot and cold items to eat in or take out (just a note that it does get very busy). On site there is an Adventure Golf, Pitch & Putt, Bowls and High Ropes course (run by Jungle Parc). To find out about or book these events or to find further details about Walton Hall and Gardens in general please visit:

Usually at weekends there are teacups ride, small Ferris wheel and Bungee Trampolines as well as a Thomas the Tank Engine land train. You have to buy tokens for these attractions which can be obtained from the people supervising the rides (run by an external company).

There are usually ice cream vans by the entrance to car park and by the play area. There are toilets near the children’s play area and also toilets at the café including accessible toilets and baby changing facilities.

In our experience we have always been able to use card for paying for any of the above amenities/activities, but cash may be helpful in case if you are interested in any of these. Phone signal is limited in the grounds.

Daily charge for car parking is £4. Walton Hall & Gardens says, “To prevent congregating at the pay and display machines, plan your visit by downloading the Ringo App to pay for your car parking. If you have difficulty in doing this you can call 01925 950 080. The site location number is 18157.”

Please email us if you are planning on coming so that we can look out for you and ensure you have our contact details for locating us.
