Aliy provides support to the whole team through coordinating office activities alongside working two days a week on the Information/Helpline. In her spare time Aliy is also a volunteer for Adoption UK in Scotland in the Borders area.

She has a professional background in business and project management, personal experience of adoption, has previously worked in the public and private sector, and prior to joining Adoption UK spent 10 years working within the NHS. Aliy has also previously worked in the voluntary sector in both the UK and abroad. Through her varied career she has gained many skills that enable her to work in this diverse role and support the team. 

Aliy has a BA Hon degree in Social Policy and is a Chartered Manger with the CMI, is a wife and mother of 3.
