Adoption Week Scotland 2020 will take place from 16th - 20th November.

Adoption Week celebrates adoption in Scotland, it is funded by the Scottish Government and managed by AFA and AUK Scotland. We are currently planning a range of activities to take place around Scotland for people interested in adopting and for adoptive families.

As well as providing information about adopting, this year we will have events looking at sibling relationships, therapeutic parenting and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD).

Of course this year is a little bit different with activities being delivered online but we will still be delivering a wide and varied programme celebrating adoption.

We work with partners right across Scotland to celebrate adoption through the week and you will find all the details for our main programme and a whole host of local agency activities detailed on this page in the coming weeks.

First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon, launches this year's Adoption Week Scotland by praising the incredible difference adopters make in children’s lives.
