The theme of National Adoption Week 2015 is the 'older child'.

This conference offers a perspective that recognises the needs of the growing child, whose healing – in the care of a sensitive, therapeutic parent – might span the years from toddler up to and including the teens.

About the speaker

Bryan Post is one of America's foremost adoption experts and founder of the Post Institute for Family-Centered Therapy, specialising in leading-edge education for adults, children and families who struggle with issues related to early life trauma and its impact on the development of the mind-body system.

Bryan is an internationally recognised author, clinician, lecturer and specialist in the treatment of emotional and behavioural disturbance, using a love-based treatment approach that focuses on developing a deeper understanding of fear and how it rules our lives. He holds three degrees in the field of social work.

The conference is now full but anyone who is still keen to attend can put their name down on a reserve list, should there be any cancellations. For further information contact the training team via email (training@adoptionuk.org.uk) or on 01295 752268.
