Agencies

We provide a range of support and resources for agencies and their adopters.

Helping families make adoption work

Our Family Support Service can help make adoptions work, either by offering support early in the process or by stepping in when things have reached crisis-point and the family faces disruption.

All of the support we offer is child focused. What makes our support unique is that we are able to help children by supporting the parents who are key to their child's recover.

The service we offer is delivered by professional, highly trained and appropriately qualified people, who have the added benefit of being adoptive parents.

Right from the very start

Our Preparation Pack Resources provide an instant set of information for prospective adopters. Member agencies are able to access them from the Resources section.

Please note - you will need to be logged in, with agency/practitioner level access to access the Preparation Pack.

Publications, factsheets and books

Member agencies and practitioners have access to a wealth of knowledge and information, including our lending library, factsheets, back issues of our membership magazine Adoption Today and sample articles from other publications.

Children Who Wait magazine

Our monthly family finding magazine 'children who wait' features profiles of children currently looking for new families and is a cost effective way of reaching over 3,000 prospective adopters.

More than 30 per cent of children featured in Children Who Wait elicit suitable enquiries. Agencies use us repeatedly due to our competitive rates and friendly, flexible service.

Further details such as extra photos, information and videos of children can be made available to adopters to give them a fuller picture of a child, through our additional service 'children who wait' online.

Training

The two-day workshop, 'Insight and Strategies', gives a deeper understanding of life in an adoptive or long-term foster family and teaches them the best strategies for supporting parents caring for children from the care system.

We can also run any of our workshops for your adoptive parents or for your team - tailored to your requirements.
