children who wait

Having been approved to adopt, the waiting that follows being matched with a child can be frustrating.

However, one of the things you can do is to become a member of Adoption UK to keep up to date with adoption and parenting matters and subscribe to 'children who wait', our family-finding service.

'Children who wait' magazine and 'children who wait' online are a fantastic resource for prospective adopters, providing information each month of some 200 profiles of children waiting for a ‘forever family’. Subscribing to 'children who wait' will give you exclusive access to both the magazine and online service where you can read about the children in detail and view their photograph(s). 'Children who wait' online contains more detailed information about the children, additional photographs and often a short video clip. Many, but not all, of the children featured in the magazine are also profiled online and a few children are featured in 'children who wait' online only.

Each profile in 'children who wait' provides contact details of the referring agency so that prospective adopters can get into contact with a child’s social worker directly by email or by telephone.
