Adoption UK has been working closely with the Department for Education (DfE) on its proposed adoption reforms, including looking into the provision of adoption support.
As part of this work, Adoption UK and the DfE are interested in gaining some high-level insight into peoples’ experiences of being assessed for, and accessing, adoption support.
To do this we have created a short questionnaire. We would like to emphasise that is open to any adoptive parent or prospective adopter to complete.
Adoption UK works and liaises with the Governments in all four nations of the UK. While this questionnaire was designed together with the Government department in Westminster working on system reforms in England, it is aimed at gaining an insight into the experiences’ of adopters in general.
The survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete and will remain open until midnight on Friday 31 May.

We're continuing our research to find out about our members and what you would like to see more (or less!) of from Adoption UK.
Last month we asked you about conference speakers and subjects. This month we would like to find out a little more about Adoption UK members and their families. Future surveys will also include non-members.
The short questionnaire which you can access at the link below, covers what stage of the adoption process you're at, if you've experienced any difficulties and a few brief questions about your experiences of and opinions of Adoption UK.

Adoption UK is joining with the local authorities in Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion, Carmarthenshire and Powys as well as St David's Adoption Agency and After Adoption to find out more about what services adoptive families living in those local authority areas would value. The survey is short and will only take a couple of minutes to complete. It can be done in either English or Welsh by selecting one of the following links.
