Advisory Centre for Education

Provides advice and information to parents and carers on a wide range of school based issues including exclusion, admissions, special education needs, bullying and attendance.

IPSEA (Independent Panel for Special Educational Advice)

Trained volunteers give free, independent advice and support in England and Wales. Issues covered include problems with schools; requesting statutory assessment; proposed statements; annual reviews; possible disability discrimination and exclusion from school.

OAASIS (Office for Advice, Assistance, Support and Information on Special Needs)

Aims to provide parents and teachers with impartial, comprehensive and prompt answers to the many questions and problems which looking after or teaching a child with SEN may present.

Membership based organisation that provides support and information for families whose children are being educated outside school.

Home Education Advisory Service (HEAS)

National home education charity dedicated to the provision of advice and practical support for families who wish to educate their childre at home in preference to sending them to school.

Schoolhouse Home Education Association

Information and support for parents/carers and young people on home education in Scotland.
